A simulated battle between two AI bot controlled ships. The bots use rules from the Battle Stations 2 board game (start [Heroic Adventure] (curufea.com)). The rules are not fully implemented, and the turn based system is partially emulated. This is a work in progress.

  • Use WASD to move the camera around, zoom in and out with Q and E
  • Choose the ship types for the hero and enemy ships
  • Enter a number for the damage they can take (over 60 takes can take a while)
  • Start the simulation and watch the bots work
  • When in the simulation - use the drop down on the top right to choose bot data chatter
  • The simulation ends when one ship reaches the damage limit entered on the set up screen or 50 if nothing is entered
  • The data at the top represents the data the bots use on the hero ship to decide on what actions to take, the data on the bottom is for the enemy ship bots
  • There are 4 bot types, pilots - only one per ship, engineers, weapons and science
  • Command bots (pilots) steer the ship, adjust speed and request helm power
  • Security bots (weapons) shoot at the other ship, request turns if not in area of the cannon, request guns power
  • Science bots scan the other ship (allowing for re-rolls of action checks) and request shield power
  • Engineering bots control the power and pump the engine or transfer power based on the request queue
  • All bots can repair - though I've not implemented module damage yet
